01 Introduction

This article is part of Chinese Noise, a living archive exploring Chinese identity, underground music and cultural memory through 25 years of Hong Kong Violence.

For this first voice from the scene, we sat down with Senyai, one of the youngest artists set to appear on the legendary HKV Stage at Dominator Festival 2026.

On July 18, he will make his HKV Stage debut alongside DJ TO-WA, bringing a high-energy performance to one of the most respected stages in hardcore.

02 Finding HKV

My first contact with HKV was through Bruhze.

We got to know each other through a mutual friend of ours, RZVX, and from the very first moment it felt like I had found a long-lost brother.

We connected instantly. Both musically and in the way we think about life and hardcore.

For Senyai, HKV quickly became more than just a collective of artists. It became a place where creativity could exist without restrictions. A place where hardcore could be whatever it wanted to be.

03 The Track That Started It All

Hkvkksteen.

When asked which HKV release means the most to him, the answer came immediately.

That track perfectly represents the raw energy and atmosphere that made me fall in love with HKV in the first place.
Raw.
Uncompromising.
Pure HKV.
Editorial Note: Hkvkksteen was officially released on Infected Records as a collaboration between Steen and DJ Akira.
04 First Time On The HKV Stage

July 18, 2026 β€” Dominator Festival

This summer marks a major milestone. Senyai will make his debut on the HKV Stage at Dominator Festival, performing together with DJ TO-WA for the very first time.

Bring energy.
Lots of it.
People can expect a set that doesn't sit still. One that keeps switching the vibe and refuses to get comfortable. I never want things to feel predictable.
It's also going to be my first time playing together with TO-WA, so I'm really excited about that. The energy will be extremely high. I love sets that barely give you time to breathe and keep pushing forward without many breaks.
Expect movement.
Expect chaos.
Expect no easy moments.
05 Learning From The Generations Before

Hardcore has always been built by those willing to create their own path.

The older generation taught me to be free and truly go with the flow.

Don't overthink things. Just do it and feel the music.
Our new generation brings a fresh and different sound. We try to think outside the box, experiment more, and really connect with the energy of the crowd.

The future of hardcore isn't about replacing the past. It's about building on it.

06 Hardcore Without Limits

HKV showed me what real hardcore is.

HKV means a lot to me. They showed me what real hardcore is. Hardcore without limits.
When I started my DJ journey, they were one of the first groups of people who truly believed in me. Especially DJ Akira. He helped me a lot with my productions and always pushed me to improve and become better.

Belief can be a powerful thing. Sometimes all it takes is one person seeing your potential before everyone else does.

07 One Of One

My favorite HKV item is my limited-edition HKV cap.

There's only one in existence. It's a red cap with a small misprint, but honestly, that's exactly what makes it so special and unique to me.
One mistake.
One piece.
One of one.
08 One Word

If he had to summarize everything in a single word?

Passion.

No explanation needed.

09 This Is Just The Beginning

Senyai is carrying the same fire that built the stage.

Senyai isn't just stepping onto the HKV Stage for the first time. He's carrying the same fire that built the stage in the first place while adding his own chapter to it.

This debut might be his first time playing there, but it already feels like the start of something bigger. The kind of moment that reminds you why this culture keeps moving forward.

On July 18, he'll stand next to DJ TO-WA and show exactly why people are paying attention. But something tells us this won't be the last time you hear that name.
